About this Event

AI’s first build-out was about training models, concentrated in a few massive campuses. The next phase is about running them. Inference—the workload that serves trained models in production—increasingly needs to sit close to the users and devices that rely on it. But new AI capacity needs power, and in many markets a new grid interconnection can take years. What if part of the power that next phase needs is already in place, at sites standing all around us?

Forum Markets (Nasdaq: FRMM) has formed Forum Edge AI, a joint venture with Edge Node AI, an approved NVIDIA partner, to own and operate inference compute at sites where power and permits are already in place. The model is designed to pair regional data center hubs with surrounding mobile communications tower sites, bringing compute closer to where it is used. Deployment is already underway: the Dallas hub is energized today, the High Point, North Carolina hub is expected to follow in the first quarter of 2027, and the joint venture intends to pursue its first mobile tower deployment in Texas, targeted for the second quarter of 2027.

hat proximity could become increasingly important for autonomous vehicles, industrial robotics, drones, augmented reality and other applications where milliseconds matter.

Forum’s role goes beyond financing individual projects. As controlling owner and sole manager, the company leads capital formation, equipment financing and structuring for the joint venture, with each project held in its own vehicle and financed independently. Over time, Forum may evaluate tokenization structures relating to these assets, which could make infrastructure of this scale available to a broader set of eligible investors. The underlying economics do not depend on it.

Join Forum Markets Chairman & CEO, McAndrew Rudisill for a discussion about the convergence of AI, power and wireless infrastructure, and how existing powered sites could become part of a new distributed network for AI inference.
